| The Marlborough Midweek Express is a community tabloid, delivered free on Wednesday mornings to virtually every household in the Marlborough and Kaikoura area. The Marlborough Province is famous for its wine and seafood, giving it the well deserved title of "The Gourmet Province". With a population of 46,167 people, there are 17,841 households in the Marlborough and Kaikoura regions*. The region is diverse, with our wine industry being our fourth earner in the province. Pastoral farming, forestry and marine farming are still our biggest industries. Our beautiful Marlborough Sounds along with the wine industry provide a strong attraction to tourists from all over the world. Based in Blenheim, Marlborough Midweek is published by The
Marlborough Express, which also publishes The Saturday Express, another
free community tabloid delivered to Kaikoura in the south, through to
Blenheim, Picton, The Marlborough Sounds and west over to Rai Valley.
